The 34th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (GOCC) played on Sunday, 25 January 2026. This year's fundraising campaign was held under the motto "For the Healthy Tummies of Our Children" to support the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in the youngest patients.
Enormous gratitude is the feeling we have got every time we think about the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and their activities to date, as every zloty collected means a human life or health saved. This year, 1,681 collection centres were set up in 88 countries, each operated by a dozen plus volunteers actively reaching out to raise funds with one goal in mind – to spread goodness and secure donations for the purchase of specialized medical equipment. The Grand Finale itself was held on the grounds of the PGE National Stadium and featured numerous attractions, including performances by musical bands such as Landberry, Lemon, Igo, Ich troje, and Myslovitz.
A standing part of the GOCC-branded initiatives is the "Get even with Diabetes" run, which for years has combined a passion for running with a charitable purpose.
Grupa LERG dołączyła do 34 Finału w Dębicy, grając aktywnie ze Sztabem Kwiatek organizowanym przez wiele lat przez młodzież z Zespołu Szkół nr 2 w Dębicy im. Eugeniusza Kwiatkowskiego, pod przewodnictwem niezastąpionej Szefowej Sztabu Pani Małgorzaty Burdzy.
Podobnie jak w roku ubiegłym zakupiliśmy dla sztabu m.in. koszulki i bluzy oraz kilka równie ważnych gadżetów, licytowaliśmy też duży i pięknie ozdobiony tort przygotowany przez Cukiernię Wiktor z Dębicy. Jak się okazało, amatorów słodkości było więcej więc licytacja była zacięta. Wygraliśmy kwotą 5000 zł, a tortem podzieliliśmy się z publicznością. W niedzielę, w momencie zakończenia Finału Sztab Kwiatek miał zebrane ponad 126 tyś. zł, ale jak podkreśliła Szefowa „bez puszek, a te są najcięższe”– brawo!
